Report:
Five of us took a morning stroll (3.9 miles or so) along the bosque north of Alameda on January 31. The clouds parted so we got some sunshine for the last 1/2 — fortunately no wind. We saw a porcupine and paused to observe a bit. We came across a pile of goose down and feathers, and later saw a healthy coyote on the levee road, running after another meal. After our hike, we went to Hannah & Nates to re-fuel. Enjoyed the meal and the company. Michelle shared videos of a porcupine fight that happened in her backyard. A BIG thank you to Los Volcanes Sr. Center who found another van for us to use when our assigned vehicle had a dead battery. Hope to see ya’ll on the trail soon!
