The estimated return time is equal to the sum of:
- meet time
- 15 min
- 2 times the drive time oneway
- the time spent hiking
- the time for all breaks (pit stops, lunch, etc.)
Assumptions
- The meet time is 8:15 AM.
- The time hiking equals the hike distance divided by 2 mi/hr.
- The time for all breaks is 2 hr.
You’ll need to adjust for earlier or later meet times, a different hiking speed, and/or shorter breaks.
